blinded

so much to say but so little depth
and the measures are rarely straight these days
counterfeits slip through what used to be the hands of the elite
unabashedly followers compromise
leaving leaders with legs to stand on but weary knees
exhausted with asking, prayers are muted
yet a loving God answers the cries of our heart
